In messy marriage break-ups everything has a monetary value. But a case in China took this concept to a level that would shock even the most hardened US divorce lawyer. According to a report in the Chutian Metropolis Daily, an embittered husband was so angered by his wife’s request for a divorce that he went online and offered to sell his two year-old son for Rmb100,000 ($14,600). The 25 year-old farmer from Hubei province was soon arrested – when another internet user alerted the police.
