Barack Obama’s half-brother lives in Shenzhen, and now he might have a doppelganger in Wuhan too. Chutian Metropolis Daily reports that a 48 year-old security guard is considering spending Rmb50,000 ($7,323) on cosmetic surgery to transform himself into a lookalike of the 44th president of the United States. The man, named Pi, says he worships Obama and believes his own eyebrows, nose and eyes already resemble the president’s. By becoming ‘the Chinese Obama’ he also hopes to boost his low income – an Obama double in Indonesia, he notes, has made good money from TV ads. But the man was dismayed to find his wife strongly opposed the idea. A worker in a garment factory, she thinks her husband naïve and says that they should both stick to their “down to earth life”.
