Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott discusses Japanese submariners who attacked Sydney Harbour during the Second World War (Abbott was hosting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe). The China Daily described the comment as “shortsighted, offensive and counterproductive” while Xinhua added the Japanese troops possessed “other skills – to loot, to torture and to kill”.
