In the most dramatic conclusion yet to the HSBC Champions golf tournament, Bubba Watson (second left in the photo below) claimed victory last Sunday at the Shanghai event. Having lost his lead with a double-bogey on the 17th, Watson made a stunning comeback with a bunker shot on the 18th for an eagle. He then won the play-off (against Tim Clark) with a 20-foot birdie putt. This was the tenth edition of the prestigious World Golf Championship event. “For my own personal career, this is big for me to win outside the US,” Watson told Associated Press, describing his eagle on the 18th as a “one-in-a-lifetime kind of shot”.
