CAAM’s Dong Yang
Dong Yang of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) offers his forecast on China’s ‘peak auto’ figure. Last year 24.59 million vehicles were sold there, with Dong saying he bases his forecast on local ownership levels matching South Korea’s (400 cars for every 1,000 people). CAAM pre- dicts Chinese car sales will grow 6% this year, up from 4.7% last year.
