Independent senator Nick Xenophon comments on news that State Grid and Hong Kong-based Cheung Kong Infrastructure are expected to mount A$10 billion bids for Ausgrid, a New South Wales electricity distributor. Fellow politician Bob Katter said Australia risked becoming “an economy for imperial China”.
