A comment by Didi Chuxing founder and CEO Cheng Wei at an event held in Beijing to announce an alliance with 31 partners for driverless cars, including Volkswagen, Toyota, Geely and BYD. Rather than own cars, Didi thinks its 450 million customers will soon book vehicles made by the 31 manufacturers either by the minute or the mile in what it calls ‘new mobility’.
