“China is, more than ever, a strategic market for Galeries Lafayette and core to our international expansion strategy”

Galeries Lafayette CEO Nicolas Houzé says the French retailer will open 10 department stores in China by 2025. He made the forecast at the opening of the group’s second store, an outlet in Shanghai (which focuses on luxury brands and niche fashion labels), telling the Financial Times that “China is a great opportunity for us”.
