Shanghai-based venture capitalist Eric Li tells Lunch with the FT last weekend that the Wuhan coronavirus is the “medical equivalent of a natural disaster”. Li, who set up his Chengwei Fund in 1999, is one of China’s most high profile ‘public intellectuals’ when it comes to arguing a Chinese perspective in Western forums.
