Foxconn founder Terry Gou says completion of an LCD factory in Wisconsin hinges on whether local US government support is forthcoming. On October 12 the Midwestern US state denied the first payments in envisioned subsidies of $3 billion for the project. The tech investment by the Taiwanese giant was hailed three years ago but Foxconn has since scaled back its ambitions from making large screen TVs to smaller touch screens.
