Peng Yongdeng, 41, this week took the reins at Beike (see WiC508), after the shock announcement last week of the death of its 50 year-old founder Zuo Hui from cancer. Co-founder Peng has been appointed the new chairman of the New York-listed online real estate brokerage which at one point was more valuable than leading property developer China Vanke.
