Philippe Guettat, chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard Asia, tells the China Daily that the French wine and spirits group has invested Rmb1 billion ($156 million) in a carbon-neutral distillery in Emelshan in Sichuan province. Pernod Ricard makes Chivas Regal and Glenlivet, and “Scotch craftsmanship” will be on display at the new Chuan Malt Whisky Distillery, which also hopes to welcome two million tourists when it opens to visitors after 2023.
