Benjamin Hou, president of Huawei’s northern Africa business, addresses the company’s first Africa 5G Summit recently in Bangkok. The keynote address was given by Coulibaly Yacouba, CEO of the Ivory Coast’s mobile spectrum authority, who hailed the advent of the 5G era. Last month mobile operators in South Africa and Kenya launched 5G networks powered by Huawei.
