Comment made by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at the G20 summit in Bali. He added that China “unequivocally” posed a “systemic challenge” to British interests and that it was “undoubtedly the biggest state-based threat to our economic security”. A scheduled meeting between Sunak and President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the G20 event was later cancelled.
