Founded in 2014 in Beijing, AI start-up MiningLamp had initial success in offering data analytics on online ad performance, as well as fraud detection services for advertising clients. The Big Data solution provider later expanded its focus into industries such as public security, logistics, entertainment, retail and manufacturing. Clients include P&G, Yum China and China Construction Bank.
The company concluded a $300 million Series E funding round in March 2020 co-led by Singapore’s state investor Temasek and Tencent. It completed a follow-up round last December led by the Russia-China Investment Fund.
