Founded in September 2016, Ping An HealthKonnect is an AI-powered platform that brings together customers and patients with providers of health insurance and medical services. It claims that its offering now covers 70% of the cities in China and a market of 800 million people.
The platform offers convenient medical diagnoses and treatments, as well as providing accounting and reporting services for the insurance firms and medical service providers. Its main rival is China Reform Health Management and Services.
In 2018, it raised $1.2 billion backed by SoftBank Vision Fund, IDG Capital and SBI.
