Since its founding by Junhong Yao in 2012, has emerged as a leading platform for sales of second-hand cars, a growing market in China. Yao’s vision was to bring together inventories from used-car dealers on Souche’s app. Customers then ordered their preferred vehicle online and picked it up. Yao then pivoted into the software-as-a-service business, offering inventory management, marketing and CRM support, and financing modules to other dealerships. This allowed Souche to capture over 60% of China’s used car dealerships as customers for the services on its platform.
