UBTECH is a robotics company with a reputation for ‘humanoid’ robots. Founded in 2012 in Shenzhen it made breakthroughs in digital servos – the parts that allow robots to move more fluidly – and now produces a portfolio including consumer humanoid robots, enterprise service robots, and skill-building robots for kids.

Walker – one of the flagship models – walks freely, boasting a full range of sensors including force, vision, audio and spatial perception.

UBTECH was valued at $5 billion after its last major funding round in May 2018. Tencent is a major investor.
